4 weeks to go!!!

I have started the countdown for the baby's arrival, then I think about all the things that need to get done before he gets here, and I am not sure it will all get done, but that is ok.
In a few short weeks, I will be cuddling a sweet baby boy and I can't wait.


Here are a few updates on the final stretch of pregnancy:

  • Baby boy is moving A LOT. I know that I am smaller this pregnancy, so I feel more of the little movements this time. 
  • This baby hiccups at least once a day, and I am hoping that is a good sign, and that he will be healthy and there are no cord issues. 
  • I am much calmer this time around. With Derek I was a basket case, and paranoid about everything. I am still nervous about delivery, but I know that I will be in good hands, and God has a plan. 
  • I have been craving root beer floats, and I can't get enough blueberries, yet I don't over indulge on extra food.
  • I am sad that I am not able to capture the feeling of baby movement, inside my stomach. I will miss that once its gone, yet cant' describe the feeling. 

Soon we will become a family of 4, and once again our world will be changed for the better. We can't wait to meet you Baby Ray.

WOW time sure does go by fast! Derek is now 2 months old! This has been a great month, Derek is still struggling with his nights and days, but we are slowly getting it figured out. He has started to focus his eyes, smile and stick out his tongue, for a short minute! He has had a few good nights where he slept from 8pm-3am,, in return I woke up in shock that he slept that long, but was very happy for the much needed rest!                               This Month was the first big overnight trip for Derek and I, we went to visit his Uncle Clint and Aunt Tara in Tulsa, OK. That was a fun trip, but it was hard for us at night since Derek had never been away from home over night, but it was nice to visit family! Derek has started staying awake longer in the afternoon, and we finally had to move up to 0-3 month clothes, which was a sad moment...

Being a boy mom

As I am making my way to bed, waking the hallway, I see all these cars, and trucks lining the hallway, blocks and racetracks built in his room, and I am remind of how I am so lucky that I get to be the mother to the sweetest little boy in the world. I love how he says " I lobd you" and "kisses" and how he will ask you to build a tunnel, but knocks it down before it's even finished, then will instantly turn to you and say "I sorry" as he is giving you more Hugs and kisses, and it melts my heart that he wants me to "play" and "sit" with him. To him I am his whole world, and of me, he makes every day better.  Thank you  God for making me a Boy Mom.
