4 weeks to go!!!

I have started the countdown for the baby's arrival, then I think about all the things that need to get done before he gets here, and I am not sure it will all get done, but that is ok.
In a few short weeks, I will be cuddling a sweet baby boy and I can't wait.


Here are a few updates on the final stretch of pregnancy:

  • Baby boy is moving A LOT. I know that I am smaller this pregnancy, so I feel more of the little movements this time. 
  • This baby hiccups at least once a day, and I am hoping that is a good sign, and that he will be healthy and there are no cord issues. 
  • I am much calmer this time around. With Derek I was a basket case, and paranoid about everything. I am still nervous about delivery, but I know that I will be in good hands, and God has a plan. 
  • I have been craving root beer floats, and I can't get enough blueberries, yet I don't over indulge on extra food.
  • I am sad that I am not able to capture the feeling of baby movement, inside my stomach. I will miss that once its gone, yet cant' describe the feeling. 

Soon we will become a family of 4, and once again our world will be changed for the better. We can't wait to meet you Baby Ray.

After a fair nights sleep, I wake up the next day in San Diego, and the moment my feet hit the floor they start screaming at me, oh they HURT. Ricky had to be at his conference early, so I seen him off, and I began to start my day, but I was slow moving. I could not get motivated to get out of the room. Finally I made my way down stairs, and headed to Starbucks for breakfast. After that I hopped on a bus and headed to the San Diego Zoo. Thanks to Google Maps, and my GPS I knew right where I was going and when I needed to get off the bus. It was a lifesaver. How did people travel to a new city before Google maps, LOL. 20 Months old

The months just keep on passing faster and faster.  Derek is now 20 months old, and let me tell you that is weird to say. He already has a personality of his own, and he knows how to work a room. Give him the spotlight and he will run with it. Cool Kid!!! Here are a few of his accomplishments. He is able to tell you where his mouth, nose, ears, hair, eyes, toes and belly button are. When you ask him where his eyes are, he will blink his eyes at you. When asked about his belly button, he will raise his shirt and show you his belly button. He is still into Barney, and Mother Goose Club. He will go crazy over both of them. We are thinking about having a Barney themed birthday party. Do they still make that stuff? LOL. As far as the sleeping, he is doing really good. Most nights he sleeps all night and on the nights he wakes up, he will turn the soother on and go right back to sleep, with the exception of the past 2 nights, where he has woke up screaming. My baby is no longer a baby....

Wow I can't believe how much daycare has grown up my little boy.  We knew this time would come, but I didn't know it would come so soon. Each day I see a new change in him. It may be a new word, a new sentence, or the new adventurous side I see in him. He has also be "talking" about the potty, "cause all the other kids are doing it." This weekend we decided to buy him a potty seat.  Of course all he wants to do is play with it! Well I made him wait 20 minutes, then let him "go potty" and after a few grunting noises, he "made potty" in his potty seat! I decided to spare all pictures.  Big moment... At that moment, my baby was no longer a baby. I got a tear in my eye! Now on to pull-ups...
