Stomach Bug...

The stomach Bug hit the Ray house.... Since Ricky has been gone all week, we decided to head to Cracker Barrel for a family breakfast Saturday Morning. They were really busy so it took a little while to get our food so we snacked on biscuits while we waited. Derek did pretty good considering how long it took. After that we headed to Target to get a present, for a birthday party that afternoon, then back home. Later that day, Derek and I headed to DeQueen for a birthday party, then to my parents house so Derek could spend some time with his grandparents. At the party, Derek didn't eat much, but when he didn't eat his cupcake, that should have been a clue for me that something was wrong.  We head to my parents house, where he was a little clingy, but he had not had his nap, so I assumed he was sleepy and laid him down. Once he woke up from his nap, he was not himself and about an hour later, the vomiting started.  My baby, didn't feel good. I tried to get his stomach

The first week of March has been an emotional one. This week, I end my journey at Cossatot and begin my new chapter at Texas A&M. Also Ricky had to be away for a conference, so it is a week of firsts. Monday I spent the day in De Queen, trying to wrap up some lose ends, then headed back to Texarkana to get Derek, and spent our first night in the house without Ricky, not going to lie I was a little scared. Derek and I kept busy, and had a small water fight in the bathroom, but Derek LOVED it, so that is all that mattered. Tuesday was my last day at Cossatot and my wonderful co-workers gave me an awesome send off. It was hard to say good-bye, but I know I am moving on to greater things, but they will all hold a special place in my heart. I am going to miss this group of people. Tuesday night Derek and I hung out. Trying to keep the night alive and active, I asked Derek if he wanted to play in his room, or wash dishes, and he took off to the kitchen to "wa

Febuary Goals

I can't believe February is gone.  Here is a recap of my goals for February.   1. Every night before I put Derek to bed, say a prayer with him. 2. Listen to the bible on my way to work. 3. Update and Print pictures for my scrapbooks. 4. Write a blog post at least once a week. Lets see how I did: 1. Every night before I put Derek to bed, say a prayer with him.  Starting out, this was hard. It was hard for me to do it, and hard for Derek to want to do it. They say to form a habit, you have to repeat it 21 times, in order for it to become a habit. Well for a 2 year old, that isn't the case. This still continues to be a struggle. I started this on a Tuesday night with this simple prayer. God is Good. Thank you for this day. Bless Mommy, Daddy, Buddy and Hersey.  That same week, on Friday, as we are walking to Derek's room, I tell him, "remember we got to say our prayers" and Derek immediately follows it by saying "God is Good.&qu

Snow Day

What a Weekend/ Week! My Weekend started last Friday, as we headed out to visit Clint and Tara for Corey's 1st birthday. We had a blast and so did the boys. We decided to leave a little early, due to the weather getting bad and we made it home safety, but not before driving through this. NOTE: I am not taking this picture while I am driving, I am borrowing it from the internet. The following week was pretty great. Due to the busy weekend, I decided to take that Monday off, and then the college closed for a SNOW DAY! Not much happened that day, but Wednesday we had snow all day, and this happened. This isn't the first time Derek has seen snow, we got snow last year in De Queen, but this year, Derek didnt care to much for it, but I had a blast staying home with my loves. Next week is a big week for me as I finish a chapter in my life, and begin another one, and I am so excited, nervous and scared all at the same time.
