Gone with the wind. Chapters 20-30

These chapters were kind of boring, as in there was a lot of information but it seemed to be kinda slow.
Throughout Scarlet's stay in Atlanta, she has is enjoying her time there, being pampered and enjoying parties. Once the war beaks out, thing begin to change as she sees the world around her change.

Rhett shows up to take Melanie, the baby, Prissy, and Scarlet to Tara. This is accurate to the movie. After Rhett leaves Scarlet on the road to go fight in the war, the story continues for Scarlett as she has to find the rest of her way to Tara. She struggles with the beat up wagon, no food, and having to hid from the Yankees on the road. There is not food, and during the cold nights, Scarlet is fearful for their lives, or that a Yankee will find them.

Scarlet does come home to find that her mother had passes away, and that Gerald has indeed gone crazy, after losing his wife, and that leaves Scarlet to make all the decisions for house. Everyone is now looking to her for answers. At this point in the movie, Careen and Suellen, are better and able to help around the house, but in the book they are still very sick and not able to help.
During this time, she must call on the neighbors and vacant gardens and plantations to see if she can find enough food for survival. As the months go one, they are pretty much down to one meal a day.
Once the winter months pass, they are able to have a garden going, catch some wild hogs, and some chickens. They were also given some food by some close neighbors.

They are finally able to get on there feet and grow cotton, and when a group of Yankees shows up and tried to take everything they have worked so hard to get. They manage to hide their hogs, and most of the chickens, but they take everything else, as well as destroying the house.

Once the War has ended, they do open their house up to traveling men from the army. This is where they meet Will Benton, a wounded shoulder who shows up, but never leaves, and becomes a huge help to Tara. Will helps Scarlet should the burden of Tara, and all that has to be done, as well as providing a sense of safety.

Since Will was wrote out of the movie, in the scene where Pork, is asking about the tax money, and telling her it is now $300, that was actually Will that delivers news. Also when they are on the porch and Ashley shows up. Will was on the porch with Melanie and Scarlet, not Mammy.
