Weekend with Family

Over Spring break, we decided that it would be a good time to go visit my brother and Derek's cousins.  Dylan was not feeling good, so he stayed behind with Daddy.
Derek and I left at noon on Friday, and meet with Clint and Tara at Main Event in Tulsa. The boys had a blast playing games together. They really wanted to bowl, but all the lanes were full, so we decided to move to Lanes in Owasso.


Derek loves to bowl. He was sad that his ball didn't roll down the center. 


Each boy got a little toy at Main Event and here they are showing off their "bugs". 


Good times and some wine. 


The next morning we woke out and headed for the best donuts I have ever had. Hurts Donuts. 
The line was super long but worth the wait. 



The blue donut is called the Cookie Monster, and it was hands down the BEST DONUT EVER. This was Derek's donut, and it wanted to take it from him so bad. I had the Blueberry streusel donut, and it was the second best. We will be back on our next Tusla trip. 


They are on a sugar HIGH! 




Cousin Love!! 
After talking with Ricky, I realized Dylan was not doing any better, he had the stomach bug that was going around and I needed to get back to my little one. We said our goodbyes and headed back home. 



This little guy was happy to see his bubba. 


We finished out the weekend with swinging outside.

After a fair nights sleep, I wake up the next day in San Diego, and the moment my feet hit the floor they start screaming at me, oh they HURT. Ricky had to be at his conference early, so I seen him off, and I began to start my day, but I was slow moving. I could not get motivated to get out of the room. Finally I made my way down stairs, and headed to Starbucks for breakfast. After that I hopped on a bus and headed to the San Diego Zoo. Thanks to Google Maps, and my GPS I knew right where I was going and when I needed to get off the bus. It was a lifesaver. How did people travel to a new city before Google maps, LOL. I actually got off the bus a little early, but the weather was wonderful, so I didn't mind it to bad.    Now if you have ever heard of this zoo, you know it is a well known zoo, and it should be, it was great, and HUGE!!! 16 Months Old

Derek is now 16 months old, and I am ashamed to say that I have been slacking on the picture taking, the note taking, and all the awesome stuff he has been doing as he is getting older. Is it because I don't care anymore, absolutely not. We are living life, and having fun, and I have just let the "blog" side of it go to the back burner. Even though I would like to be done with the every month update, I feel like I need to keep it up, at least till he is 2. Who knows, by then this "dry spell" may pass, and I will be back on my game. We do have the holidays coming up really soon and that is my favorite time to take pictures, so I am sure it will pick up. So for now, here is my little boy at 16 months old. Currently everything is "Mamma", we are trying to get him to say more words, but nothing has stuck just yet, other than "yeah", and that is my mistake, and I am trying to correct it with "yes".
