Family Weekend Fun

Our 3 day weekend has come to an end, but it was a fun one.

We began Friday night by spending the night at my parents house, and we were up bright and early to begin our trip to Collinsvile.

Our First Stop: Incredible Pizza. This place was a great place to take 3 energetic boys, and a hungry family.  The food is buffet style, where you can get Pizza, Pasta, American, Mexican and Chinese food all at the same time. There is something for everyone.

Once everyone was fed, we headed to the game room. The best way to describe it is to take a few rides from a fair, mix with an arcade and a Go-Kart Racetrack, and you have tons of things to do.
The boys had a great time.

After Incredible Pizza, we headed to Clint's house and hung out for the rest of the afternoon.
That night we made a fire, cooked S'Mores, and enjoyed the cool breeze. It was a great night to be outside. I could tell Derek was getting pretty tired, so we called it a night a little early and after 10 minutes of being in bed, he was sound asleep.

The next day we attended Church with my brother and got to meet a few of their friends for a cook out and Clint made a slip and slide in the front yard. It was a hit.

After some down time, and no naps, we all headed out to do some bowling, and Derek had a blast.
It was so fun to see him be a big boy, as he wanted to do it all by himself.
I am starting to let him do more things by himself, as I know it is good for both of us, so I let him go to the bathroom by himself, even though I was right outside, and Carson was in there with him. He was so excited that he ran into the bathroom and hit face first into a bathroom stall door. I could not help but laugh, even though at the time, Derek didn't think it was funny.

I also got a kick out if the way Derek decided to bowl. Watch his foot movement at the very beginning,  this was every time. Maybe he knows something we don't know about a good bowling technique. He took bowling very seriously and didn't like with when he missed the pins.

All and all the boys had a great time.

We ended our trip with Breakfast the next morning, and a trip to the mall, but I forgot to take pictures. It was a great weekend but we are happy to be home.
